Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) is a PTFE resin created through a unique processing method that includes stretching, making it flexible. Expanded PTFE has a mesh structure ideal for medical equipment, food processing, oil and gas, and any other industry requiring tight seals.

PTFE gaskets are used in equipment handling chemicals and petrochemicals because they are resistant to corrosive fluids and extreme temperature extremes. Except for certain alkali metals and fluorine compounds, PTFE demonstrate resistance to most chemicals at various pressures and temperatures.
